Is there really any better way to celebrate a birthday than diving face first into cake? I don’t think so.

Cake smash photos are still just as popular as ever and it’s not hard to see why.

How to prepare

If we’re having your session inside, it would be helpful to consider where you think we could use to set up for the cake smash. The kitchen is generally the best place of somewhere with a solid floor, not carpet.

Whether you’re having a birthday party before or after the session you may want to consider holding onto balloons or cards or special birthday outfits that we can include in the photos.

Consider the cake, buttercream icing is perfect for little ones to get their fingers stuck into. Due to allergens and dietary requirements, I cannot provide the cake, but I am happy to recommend some brilliant cake makers how can help.

Did someone say cake?

I bring a white floordorop to every cake smash photoshoot (and plenty of wet wipes) so no need to worry about the mess.
