Oh the weather outside is frightful…. But this wedding was so delightful!
If you’re like me and are a lover of the winter season you are going to love this Wintery Wedding Shoot.
I truly love the Autumn / Winter seasons, there is something to lovely about wrapping up warm and snuggling together. Along with wrapping up warm I think the rich colours of the seasons are so beautiful as well. Just like in this Wintery Wedding, the deep reds and rich colour schemes.
This rustic table with fluffy table cloth made me think of a beautiful ski lodge, a winter holiday with the elegant gold cutlery and clean ceramic plates drawing it all back to a gorgeous wedding vibe. Such a clever idea having the favours wrapped as little presents because who doesn’t love unwrapping presents? And the red glassware adding a stunning splash of colour.
This particular day we were so lucky to have clear blue skies and backdrop of an immersive collection of Christmas fir trees which also lined our pathway.
Even without the fir trees the décor were spot on for complimenting a Christmas themed wedding.
From the vibrant red velvet sofa embellished with fluffy white cushions to the warming candles and gold deer ornaments to the berries in the bouquet every aspect came together perfectly to enrich this decadent wintery vibe.
And what better thing to do on a fresh winters day than to be snuggled under a blanket together?
Before I photographed this I had to just take a moment to stare and the more I stared, the more I saw! The detail of this gingerbread cake was unbelievable! From a distance it just optimised the Christmas spirit and as you got closer all the intricate details simply added to the awesomeness, little icicles dripping down, a teddy bear peeking out of a box to a Santa waving from a window and the whole cake table was pulled together with meringues and beautifully iced festive biscuits.
